One of the major causes of stress is spending the majority of your energy on what you CAN NOT control. If in fact can’t control a situation, what does worrying about it really do? It just pulls your energy away from what you CAN do something about. For example, I can’t do anything about the high blood pressure that runs in my family, but I CAN exercise regularly and make better eating choices. Don’t focus on what you CAN’T change. Put your energy into what you can.
Proverbs 12:25 – Anxiety in a man’s heart weighs him down, but a good word makes him glad.
