It turns out Siri is from Atlanta.
Apple’s voice-activated virtual “assistant” is a real woman who lives in metro Atlanta. While Apple has refused to confirm the identity behind Siri’s voice, Susan Bennett admitted to CNN that she is Siri. An audio-forensics expert with 30 years of experience has studied Bennett and Siri’s voices and said that the two are the same.
Bennett has been doing voiceover work since the 1970s. She actually did not want to be identified as Siri’s voice, but once a tech-news site posted a video hinting that another voiceover talent named Allison Dufty was Siri, Bennett decided to set the record straight.
